People, planet, profit is what we at Su Casa Properties call the triple bottom line. The Urban Village program, now running in Arizona and Utah, allow us the opportunity to cultivate the unique potential of each property while greatly enhancing the quality of life for the residents. On a side-by-side comparison, those properties running Urban Village enhance not only investment returns, but more importantly they advance the personal satisfaction for the residents, and work toward a healthier environment, creating communities and shared experiences.
Planting the seed: Urban Village creates space for people to gather and connect, then fosters and facilitates initial gatherings and finally supports and nourishes what starts to grow.
Case study: Urban Village at Lookout Point, Provo, Utah.
What we found: people are craving the community connection.
The result: By facilitating the formation of “community”, the residents leverage each other’s interests and potential. There is less turnover of residents and management, people are happier.
Matthew,
We had a great turn out for our Pizza by the Pool Potluck on Saturday. Met lots of our neighbors, some of their families, and were entertained by several of our musicians playing their guitars. We will be purchasing a grill for our BBQ. The garden is growing and Joanie is sending pictures.
We are really excited to have our first class in the “Change Your Life Series” and will have other health care providers coming in to teach future classes. Agi will be returning to teach her healthy eating course. Please tell Peter and any other owners thanks for their faith in us and giving us a chance on this project
Nancy
How can a developer, be an environmentalist?
Creating the Urban Village communities out of existing, traditional apartment complexes Su Casa Properties transforms them and wakes up the properties to their potential. Su Casa does a “Green Tune-up” – or sustainability analysis; incorporating available plans like Multifamily Energy Efficiency Program, lighting, recycling, energy star appliances, dual pane windows and solar initiatives as well as shared resources of the property, to determine how the Urban Village can be more eco friendly. Su Casa Properties is focusing on the re-localization of how business is done. Investing in the infrastructure of local communities and utilizing the Urban Villages as platforms for eco-awareness, sustainability and the impact of energy that is used.
Su Casa’s formula: meaning + money = profit: for investors and emotional connections for residents.
Su Casa Properties makes social, emotional, and financial connections and considers the long tail of the 360-degree impacts - with the interests of all stakeholders aligned: investors, owners, management, residents and the earth.
